Apprenticeship orientation

Through various projects, the young generation should be given the opportunity to inform themselves early on different professions and gain initial experience in the relevant fields of work.

Job information day

Since 2005, HAIMER organizes two profession information days every year. At these job fairs, pupils are given the opportunity to make first contacts with companies in the region and to learn about different training occupations. In doing so, the pupils benefit from a direct exchange of experience with young people who are already in training, and the instructors who are available for the many open questions of the interested visitors and through their expert advice, can help diminish possible concerns regarding an apprenticeship. These events provide a first career orientation and useful information for choosing a profession.

School partnership

Since 2016, Haimer GmbH has maintained school partnerships with the Secondary School Affing-Bergen and the the Hollenbach Middle School. Many joint projects and activities, such as company tours, job application training or practical lessons, can be implemented due to this association. This wakens the pupils interest and brings a most welcome change into a school day’s routine.

On the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the IHK Schwaben in March 2018, the partner schools of Haimer GmbH were awarded with the Wilhelm-Hübsch-Prize for outstanding school partnerships, worth € 11,000. This honors the successful cooperation of the company HAIMER with the educational institutions of the district.

Girls'Day

At the annual Girls' Day, young women from the 5th grade up can try out jobs for one day which are traditionally held by men. At HAIMER, the participants are offered to get to know the training tasks of the industrial mechanic (m / w / x), the metal-cutting mechanic (m / w / x) and see if they might like the work. These new experiences may spark interest and discover hidden talent. Above all, the girls should find self-confidence from this initiative and be encouraged to choose technical professions.

Kindergarten project

HAIMER’s commitment begins with the youngest members of our society.
Together with the children of the St. Ullrich Daycare Center in Hollenbach, the HAIMER apprentices embellished the fence of the kindergarten in 2016. Thanks to the active cooperation of all, a true piece of art decorates the outside area of this facility ever since.
Already in 2014, the day care center was pleased to get new equipment for their technical play corner, donated by HAIMER.
